At Mayfield, we use an online learning journal called Tapestry as a platform to share with you your child’s achievements, progress and success.

Tapestry provides each individual child with an online Learning Journal held online. Parents and carers are given their own log-in using their email. All our teaching staff are given a secure log-in. They can then upload observations, photos or videos; recording children’s achievements and conduct ongoing assessments and planning to meet their needs. After an observation is added to Tapestry, an email is generated and sent to the parents or carers who have set up an account for that child.

You will only have access to your child’s journal and this cannot be seen by other parents. However, children in the class will sometimes be photographed with others as they work together. For this reason, we will ask permission for your child to appear in photographs within other children’s Learning Journals. It is crucial that you DO NOT share photos or videos from your child’s journal on social media or through other online platforms. All parents/carers will be requested to sign a consent form.

You will be given your account login details. You can login in at https://tapestryjournal.com/. Once logged in, you can click on your name in the top right hand corner and select ‘edit preferences’ to change your password and pin number. The pin is used for the app, which can be downloaded to your mobile phone or tablet from Google Play and App Store.
