World Cup Fever Comes to Mayfield!

To celebrate the start of the World Cup, our pupils have been enjoying a special international menu inspired by countries from around the world. Throughout the week, children have sampled a range of themed lunches, including Spanish, French, English, Mexican and American dishes, helping to bring the excitement of the tournament into the dining hall.

A huge thank you goes to our fantastic kitchen team, who have gone above and beyond by decorating the kitchen and serving area with World Cup-themed displays, creating a fun and vibrant atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.

The themed lunches have been a wonderful way to explore different cultures, try new foods and join in the excitement of this global sporting event.

Two school dinner ladies wearing hairnets and uniforms stand behind a stainless steel serving hatch, smiling. The canteen is decorated with a "World Cup" bunting banner, St George's Cross triangular flags, and red and white balloon arrangements featuring football-shirt-shaped balloons. Food trays sit under a heated gantry on the counter.
