Supporting Early Engagement: New Training from SEND Hub North West

Mayfield School is proud to be hosting a brand-new training session from SEND Hub North West, exploring how practitioners can support meaningful engagement in children with complex learning needs through play and observation.

Supporting Early Engagement: Using Play & Observation is designed for anyone looking to deepen their understanding of engagement and strengthen their provision for children with complex needs. The session will explore:

The importance of connection, attunement and relationships
What meaningful engagement and participation really look like
What play looks like for children with complex learning needs
Nurturing engagement through inclusive practice
Practical demonstrations and strategies for immediate use

The training will run on Wednesday 30th September or Thursday 1st October 2026, from 1:30pm to 3:30pm, at Mayfield School, Chorley, PR7 3HN. Places cost £60 per person.
