Rainbow Class go on a trip to Birkacre

The children enjoyed a group outing to Birkacre Walk, walking safely with staff and holding hands as they explored the environment. Along the path, the children showed curiosity as they noticed different features of nature and discussed the environmental sounds they could hear, such as birds, water, and rustling leaves. When we reached the benches, the children sat together for snack time, showing patience, sharing space, and helping one another. As they watched the ducks on the water, they commented on their movements and asked thoughtful questions.

Throughout the outing, the children demonstrated key British Values: they made choices and shared their ideas (democracy), followed safety rules and understood why they were important (rule of law), confidently expressed their own thoughts and interests (individual liberty), treated each other kindly and listened respectfully (mutual respect), and welcomed different viewpoints and experiences shared by their peers (tolerance of different faiths and beliefs).
