Go Kids Go Visit Brings Wheelchair Skills and Fun to Mayfield

On Friday 2 October, we welcomed Go Kids Go to Mayfield for a practical and engaging wheelchair skills session.

Go Kids Go provides wheelchair skills training for young wheelchair users across the UK, with a focus on developing independence, confidence and the practical skills needed to navigate everyday environments. Their sessions are designed to be fun, inclusive and hands-on, helping young people build skills while enjoying themselves.

Our pupils had a fantastic morning taking part in a range of activities and challenges. They practised manoeuvring their wheelchairs around cones and obstacles, developing their control, coordination and awareness, while also taking part in games and activities that encouraged movement, confidence and independence.

The session provided a valuable opportunity for pupils to develop practical skills in a supportive environment, while having plenty of fun along the way. It was wonderful to see pupils challenging themselves, trying new things and enjoying the opportunity to learn through activity.

A big thank you to Go Kids Go for visiting Mayfield and providing such an enjoyable and valuable experience for our pupils.
