🌻🌳♻️Looking after the environment in Blue Class 🌻🌳♻️

This half term blue class have been exploring the topic of Life Cycles and Protecting the Environment. Pupils have been learning about how living things grow and change over time. As part of this learning, pupils planted their own sunflower seeds and have loved caring for them and watching them begin to grow. They also planted beautiful flower bags in our garden, helping to brighten our outdoor space while learning about the importance of looking after nature.

To deepen their understanding of caring for the environment, pupils took part in recycling activities and discussed ways we can all reduce waste and protect our planet. They also enjoyed litter-picking activities, working together to help keep our school forest tidy.

Our story ‘Tidy’ has helped pupils understand the importance of caring for the environment as well as the consequences of over-tidiness. Pupils have loved exploring the book through sensory massage and recreating scenes in the book in class and in forest school.

We are incredibly proud of how engaged and thoughtful the pupils have been during this topic. They have developed valuable life skills, increased their confidence outdoors, and gained a greater understanding of how small actions can make a big difference to the environment.
