RSHE Parental Consultation

We would like to extend a sincere thank you to all parents and carers who took the time to engage with our Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSHE) consultation.

Your views are incredibly important to us. At Mayfield School, we are committed to working in strong partnership with families to ensure that our curriculum reflects the needs, values and aspirations of our pupils and community. As highlighted throughout the consultation, parental partnership plays a vital role in helping us tailor RSHE so that it supports each child’s development, safety and wellbeing.

Curriculum Review and Development

Following the consultation, we will carefully review all feedback received to further strengthen our RSHE provision. Our curriculum is already designed around a “one size fits one” approach, ensuring learning is adapted to each individual rather than based purely on age.

This process of review ensures that our RSHE curriculum:

  • remains fully aligned with statutory guidance
  • continues to prioritise safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
  • reflects current guidance and emerging themes
  • meets the diverse needs of all learners

We greatly appreciate the time, care and honesty shown by families in supporting this important process. Your partnership is essential in helping us provide a safe, supportive and meaningful RSHE curriculum for all pupils.

If you would like further information, or wish to discuss any aspect of RSHE, please do not hesitate to contact the school. Our door is always open.
