School Meals

At Mayfield, we are committed to promoting healthy eating and providing our students with a well-balanced, enjoyable school lunch. Our meals are freshly prepared on-site, at a cost of £2.70 for a two-course meal. Menus are thoughtfully planned by Lancashire County Council and sent home regularly.

Each day, students have the option to choose between a hot lunch (with choices such as vegetarian, pasta, or jacket potato) or a school-packed lunch. We do not require prior notice for students wishing to switch from a cooked lunch to a packed lunch or vice versa. Children are welcome to bring in a packed lunch from home and we ask parents to support our healthy eating by making sure any packed lunches that are sent in are balanced and healthy. We request that sweets and fizzy drinks are not sent in with pupils as we provide healthy snacks across the day.
