Lord Taverner’s Table Cricket County Competition

On Tuesday 3rd February, our students proudly represented Mayfield School at the Lord Taverner’s County Table Cricket Competition held at Bolton Arena. This marked our first ever table cricket event

Mayfield entered two teams, competing against schools from across Lancashire. With the fantastic support of the Lancashire Cricket Foundation, our students have been developing their understanding of the rules, building skills, and growing in confidence throughout the year.

Both teams performed brilliantly on the day, showing determination, teamwork, and most importantly having fun. 

Mayfield A team finished 3rd place and Mayfield B team finished 5th place, with our students receiving medals to celebrate their achievements.

Fantastic achievement for our students, who demonstrated excellent sportsmanship throughout the competition, supporting one another and enjoying every moment. They represented Mayfield School superbly and should be extremely proud of themselves.
