We recently celebrated British Science Week with this year’s theme of Curiosity, giving our students a fantastic opportunity to explore, investigate and experiment!
Each day focused on a different theme including states of matter, the senses, forces, the human body and bubbles. Students enjoyed a range of hands-on activities such as melting ice experiments, food tasting, “What’s in the box?”, exploring different materials, building car ramps, investigating magnets, testing floating and sinking, and creating marble runs 🧲🚗
We also explored the human body by looking at a model skeleton and practising how to brush our teeth correctly 🦷
To finish the week, students had great fun experimenting with bubbles of all different sizes. Some even managed to create giant bubbles, which was very exciting! 🫧
It was wonderful to see so much enthusiasm for science, with lots of additional exciting experiments taking place in classrooms throughout the week too.
