🐉🧧 Chinese New Year in Yellow Class 🧧🐉

Yellow Class enjoyed a calm and engaging Chinese New Year sensory and tasting session.

Pupils explored a range of themed sensory experiences, including different textures, colours and objects linked to the celebration. There were lots of opportunities for pupils to engage through touch, sight, smell and sound, with staff supporting shared attention and anticipation.

During our tasting session, pupils were supported to explore new flavours in a way that was appropriate to their individual needs, with a focus on choice-making, communication and sensory tolerance.

It was lovely to see pupils responding in their own ways — through facial expressions, vocalisations and body movements — as they experienced the activities. A wonderful way to celebrate together and explore the world around us. 🌟
