Signalong

Signalong empowers children and adults with impaired communication to understand and express their needs and choices by providing vocabulary for life and learning.

At Mayfield, we are a silver Signalong friendly school and pride ourselves on supporting our children with their signing, giving them a pupil voice and communicating with their peers.  

Terri Chester our Communication Coordinator and is a registered Signalong tutor, and is only one of three tutors in the Lancashire area.

If you would like to join us for our Cake, Communicate and Chat sessions for parents and carers, they are every Tuesday, starting from the 20th September 2022.

This is a fantastic opportunity to get together, chat to other families, learn new signs and make new friends along the way!
